About The Nintendo DS Console

The Nintendo DS (Which stands for Dual Screen) is a dual-screen handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was first in Europe on March 11th 2005 and features two LCD screens, with the bottom one being a touchscreen.

Top Screen: A backlit, 3.0-inch, TFT color LCD

Bottom Screen: Same as top screen, but with a transparent analog touch screen.

Processors: ARM946E-S main CPU and ARM7TDMI coprocessor

WiFi: 802.11 Wireless Network Connection (802.11b compatible with WEP encryption only)

Battery: lithium-ion battery giving around 10 hours of play on medium brightness.

Sales: On March 6 2009, Nintendo announced that it had shipped over 100-million Nintendo DS systems worlwide.
